The Lumby Minor Hockey Association and the broader Saskatchewan hockey community are mourning the unexpected passing of Shawna Rachul of Saskatoon, a devoted hockey mom with the U13 Tier 3 Winfield Bruins. Her sudden loss has left her family, friends, and the entire community in deep sorrow.

According to her husband, life changed instantly when Shawna, just 46, suffered a heart attack on April 1. She passed away the following day, leaving her loved ones struggling to cope with the sudden and heartbreaking loss.

Shawna was known as the heart of her family—a caring partner and a deeply devoted mother to her 12-year-old son. Whether cheering from the stands or supporting her family at home, she brought warmth, energy, and unwavering love to those around her.
